It sounds like the Patriots are going to be without Sammy Morris for up to a month because of a chest/rib injury, and with Laurence Maroney continuing to nurse a sore groin the team is looking for warm bodies for their backfield. After being cut by three different teams in the last two years, Barlow is only lukewarm, and it's unclear if the Patriots will even make him a contract offer.
