Marcus Stroud is yet to miss a practice and has not suffered any setbacks regarding his surgically repaired ankle, according to the Buffalo News.

Run to the ball is the philosophy of Buffalo defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, and defensive tackle Marcus Stroud is embracing the scheme, according to the Buffalo News. Stroud has been eagerly pursuing plays and running until the whistle blows during the Bills’ spring practices over the past week.

Our View:Stroud, who made the Pro Bowl from 2003-2005, has been hindered by ankle injuries during the past two seasons. If Stroud can stay healthy, his presence is expected to increase the IDP value of defensive end Aaron Schobel, who will face less double teams.

The Bills believe their acquisition of DT Marcus Stroud from the Jaguars in return for third- and fifth-round draft picks is quite a coup, according to Pro Football Weekly. Jacksonville was reportedly seriously concerned about Stroud’s health due to an ankle injury that required microfracture surgery. On the flip side, Buffalo has a highly respected medical team that believes Stroud will make a full recovery. When operating at 100 percent, Stroud is regarded as one of the premier interior defensive linemen in the league both as a pass rusher and run stopper.
