Our View:This is good news as Clements is the 49ers' top cornerback, and will be needed while contending with Ted Ginn and the Dolphins' offense in Week 15.
December 5, 2008 The Sacramento Bee reports that Nate Clements revealed today that he had surgery on Tuesday to insert a pin and two screws into the base of his left thumb, which he fractured Sunday in Buffalo while tackling running back Marshawn Lynch. The 49ers' top cornerback didn't practice at all this week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. As of now, he's got a bulky, hard cast covering his hand.
Our View:Clements has never missed a gae in his career, but we wouldn't bank on him returning for Sunday's contest. It seems unlikely that doctor's would clear him to play less than a week after the surgery.

Our View:He has a very small hairline fracture and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. Clements is the 49ers' only solid cornerback, and this is favorable news for Brett Favre and Co.

Our View:Clements is the best cornerback on the 49ers' roster, and his presence will not bode well for an already struggling Seahawks' aerial attack.
October 24, 2008 Nate Clements was limited in Thursday's practice while nursing his rib ailment, according to the SF Chronicle. Safeties Michael Lewis (knee) and Mark Roman (groin) were limited as well.
Our View:Clements is enjoying another solid campaign, and has been productive in IDP leagues with 26 tackles (22 solo), one forced fumble, and one interception. The Seahawks' aerial attack could benefit this weekend with three starters in the secondary hindered by injuries.
