Week 10 inactives: CB William James, RB Chauncey Washington, CB Brian Witherspoon, LB Mike Peterson, OL Drew Miller, G Milford Brown, WR Mike Walker, DT John Henderson.

Our View:The Jags defense could be soft up the middle without Peterson and Henderson. Maurice Jones-Drew could handle both kickoffs and punts with Witherspoon on the sidelines.

Week 8 inactives: CB William James, S Omare Lowe, RB Chauncey Washington, LB Thomas Williams, G Milford Brown, OT Charles Spencer, DT Jimmy Kennedy, and WR Mike Walker.

Our View:The Jags came out of their bye with very few injuries. Their offensive line welcomes back center Brad Meester, and we like the outlook against the Browns.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed cornerback William James, who was released on Sunday by the Bills, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:The Jaguars are pretty set at cornerback, so James will only provide the team with some depth at the position.

William James had a good outing on day two of the Bills' OTA, according to BuffaloBills.com. He was effective in coverage throughout the day, and his best play made came on a lunging pass breakup to defend a comeback route.

Our View:He will be given a fair chance to compete for the starting right cornerback job, and will provide a solid veteran presence in whatever role he ultimately serves. His fantasy value shall remain low, however.

Cornerback Will James will compete with Jabari Greer for the right cornerback job in Buffalo, according to BuffaloBills.com. “We feel strongly that he can compete for a starting job and he’ll have that opportunity as everybody does here,” head coach Dick Jauron told BuffaloBills.com. “Whoever wins it gets it.” James started six games last season for Philadelphia, but those came mainly in relief of Lito Sheppard who suffered with injuries. Prior to last season James started 39 games for the New York Giants as an entrenched starter.
