Return specialist Michael Lewis will be ready and is eligible to return from the PUP list next week, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. The Saints will then have three weeks to decide whether to activate him, release him or place him on injured reserve. "They've got to do what they've got to do for the benefit of the team," said Lewis, who is recovering from arthroscopic surgery to clean up some loose particles in his left knee.

Michael Lewis had to be helped off the field in the fourth quarter of last night's game after suffering a knee injury, according to the San Antonio Express. He appeared to catch his cleats in the turf and his leg twisted awkwardly. Saints coach Jim Haslett said he wasn't sure of the diagnosis but said somberly, "It doesn't look good."
