Our View:Reed registered a career best 65 tackles (44 solo) with the Jets in 2005, but failed to make an impact over two seasons with the Chiefs, who cut him earlier in the year. He shouldn't hold much fantasy value if he makes the Saints as a backup.
December 7, 2006 James Reed, who has been out with a groin injury, returned to practice Wedneday, according to the Kansas City Star. He's not listed on this week's injury report.
June 14, 2006 The Chiefs agreed to a one-year deal with James Reed, according to the AP. Reed spent five season with the Jets under coach Herm Edwards, who is now with Kansas City. Reed has started 17 games in his career and recorded 176 tackles to go along with six sacks.
