The Titans would like to re-sign quarterback Chris Simms, ESPN.com reports.

Our View:Simms could probably find better situations for playing time, but he is a solid third-string quarterback due to his experience.

Week 10 inactives: QB Chris Simms (3rd), WR Paul Williams, WR Chris Davis, CB Renaldo Hill, RB Chris Henry, LB Colin Allred, OT Michael Otto, DE Kyle Vanden Bosch.

Our View:Kerry Collins is good to go, as is middle linebacker Keith Bulluck. The line will miss Vanden Bosch, but the end has been nicked up for a few weeks.

Just two days after he was released to make room on the roster for punter Josh Miller, Chris Simms has been re-signed by the Titans, according to The Tennessean. "Chris totally understood the move (on Saturday), and we assured him we'd get him back under contract and we did,'' Coach Jeff Fisher said.

Our View:Simms will once again take up his clipboard as the Titans' third option behind Kerry Collins and Vince Young.

Chris Simms has been released by the Titans, according to the Tennessean. The team signed punter Josh Miller, and dropped Simms to make room on the roster.

Our View:He is expected to be re-signed early next week. The team needed a punter for Sunday's game at Baltimore as Craig Hentrich is out with back spasms. Vince Young moves up to the No. 2 role at quarterback behind starter Kerry Collins.

The Titans are expected to sign free agent quarterback Chris Simms on Wednesday, the Tennessean confirms. He recently worked out for the club, as did Joey Harrington, Doug Johnson, and Quinn Gray.

Our View:That's a good signing by the Titans, who need a capable backup now that Vince Young is slated to miss a few weeks. Simms should serve as the No. 2 to Kerry Collins this Sunday.
