Brett Favre left Sunday's game with a sprained left knee. He hobbled off the field under his own power but was then carted to the locker room. After the game, coach Mike Sherman indicated there was not much swelling and, barring a surprise from an MRI on Monday, it appears that Favre will be able to make his next start. The Packers are on a bye next week, so Favre will have extra time to rest.

Brett Favre never used to throw during the offseason, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Last season, he threw regularly between the final mini-camp and training camp. "It really helped him to not have arm problems during the year," said Packers offensive coordinator Tom Rossley. Rossley has asked him to do the same program this offseason and they will keep a close eye on the number of times Favre throws during training camp.
