Newsbreakers
November 30, 2008
Defensive end Julius Peppers recorded two sacks in the Week 13 win over the Packers. He has multiple sacks in three of the last four games and 11 sacks on the season.

Our View:Peppers is having a rebound year, just in time to sign a new contract. He is two sacks shy of his career-high (13), which he set in 2006.
November 16, 2008
Defensive end Julius Peppers registered two sacks in the Week 11 win over the Lions. It was his second straight game with multiple sacks, and he is up to nine on the season.

Our View:Peppers has been very active the last two weeks and has turned back into the stud of old. IDP owners likely got a bargain, as his price was down heading into 2008.
November 12, 2008
Julius Peppers has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his Week 10 performance, according to Carolinagrowl.com.

Our View:Peppers recorded three sacks, two forced fumbles and seven tackles in the game. The defensive end has recorded seven sacks and four forced fumbles already this year.
November 9, 2008
Julius Peppers had a big day in Week 10 against the Raiders. The defensive end finished with seven tackles, three tackles for losses, one quarterback hurry, one pass defensed and two forced fumbles.

Our View:This was by far Pepper's best game of the 2008 season. The Raiders offensive line could not contain him at all.
October 5, 2008
Defensive end Julius Peppers had only one tackle in the Week 5 win over the Chiefs, but it was a sack that forced a fumble. Fellow lineman Damione Lewis recovered the muff.

Our View:That's three straight games with a sack for Peppers. Considering he had only 2.5 sacks in all of 2007, that's no small feat. We're not sure he's fully back to his old, elite-level form, but Julius is looking better these days.
