Eagles head coach Andy Reid announced yesterday that Brian Westbrook was being placed on injured reserve with what Reid called "a first-degree Lisfranc sprain," according to the Philadelphia Daily News. Reid reiterated that Westbrook would not need surgery and should be completely healed by next July's training camp.

A team source said last night that all talks with Westbrook have halted, and there is no telling if or when they will resume. Westbrook will be fined $6,000 for every day of camp he sits out, starting with yesterday.
