Rocky Bernard has been suspended for Week 1 against the Bills for violating the league's personal conduct policy, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

Rocky Bernard's domestic violence case with his ex-girlfriend was resolved with Bernard being given a series of court ordered stipulations to be completed over the next two years, according to the Seattle Times. Bernard will have to stay arrest free, attend domestic violence classes, cannot possess weapons of any kind and must stay away from his former girlfriend.

Our View:Bernard will now be able to focus on football, that is if he can avoid a league mandated suspension, something that seems possible given his plea bargain in this case.

Seattle defensive tackle Rocky Bernard pleaded not guilty to a charge of domestic violence in a court hearing at the King County Correctional facility in downtown Seattle, according to the Tacoma News Tribune. "This is the situation," Bernard's attorney, Jon Fox, said after the hearing. "We are going to investigate, find out facts and everything we can about the case. Then we will determine where we are headed with this thing. We really can't have any comment beyond that. That is where we are at."

Our View:There was a no-contact order issued, and Bernard is not allowed within 500 feet of the victim, who is also the mother of his child. Bernard was arrested early Monday morning on a charge of domestic violence. According to Seattle police, Bernard struck the victim with a closed fist and the hit at the victim's car's windows as she tried to leave.
