Wide receiver David Givens recently underwent a third procedure on his left knee, according to the Tennessean. Givens initially injured his knee in November of 2006, when he suffered a torn ACL, torn meniscus, and broken bone in the knee. He had a second surgery several months after the initial procedure and has struggled with his rehab since then. Givens caught eight passes for 104 yards in five games for the Titans before suffering the injury.

Wide receiver David Givens will be placed on the PUP list later this week, according to the Tennessean. With that move Givens won’t count against the Titans’ 53-man roster and there is still a possibility he could play yet this season. Givens has been slow to recover from the torn left ACL he suffered last November. He’ll be eligible to return to practice after week six, giving the Titans an opportunity to determine if he can help them this season or if he’ll go in injured reserve.

David Givens had more than just a torn ACL repaired when he underwent surgery in November, according to the Tennessean. "I tore my meniscus, my meniscus had to be repaired, I broke a bone in my knee and I had to have some bone plugs put in the spot where the bone was broken," Givens said. "And I had the ACL torn and that was repaired." Givens added that "I hope to be back next year. That's my plan, that's my goal and I'm going to do whatever it takes to get myself healthy."
