October 18, 2008
Defensive end Jarvis Green remains doubtful for Week 7 while dealing with an ankle injury, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Green will be missed in the Patriots' rotation as a pass rusher, but only holds fantasy value in deeper IDP leagues.
October 12, 2008
Defensive end Jarvis Green injured his ankle during the first quarter of the Week 6 game against the Chargers and was carted to the locker room. His return is questionable, according to the NBC telecast.

Our View:Green isn't a starter, but he is a decent pass-rusher and part of the line rotation.

Defensive end Jarvis Green was shaken up during the first quarter of the Week 6 game against the Chargers. His injury is not known.

Our View:The telecast has yet to provide any details. Green hasn't done much this year, but he can be a productive part of the Pats line rotation.

New England defensive end Jarvis Green has returned to practice and appears to be on pace for playing on Week 1 of the regular season, according to the Providence Journal.

Our View:Green has been rehabilitating his surgically-repaired shoulder but worked hard to stay in shape. He's reportedly five pounds under his normal playing weight, but the reports from camp today suggest he is in fine form and looking to get right back into work that ranked him as one of the top young defenders in the game last season. His shoulder pain began midway through last season, but Green dealt with it and played in all 19 of New England’s games last season, recording 64 tackles, 7½ sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Green’s return adds valuable depth to the Patriots’ defensive line. When Richard Seymour began last year on the physically unable to perform list, it was Green who started in his place.
