October 21, 2008 On Tuesday linebacker Terrell Suggs was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week, according to the Ravens official web site. Suggs notched nine tackles and a sack, but it was his 44-yard interception return for a touchdown that was the difference.
Our View:Suggs has been pretty dominate this year recording 29 tackles to go along with four sacks. The linebacker and his defensive mates have been one of the best in the AFC so far in 2008.
October 11, 2008 Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs was not fined for a hit on Titans quarterback Kerry Collins in which he was flagged for unnecessary roughness, nor was he fined for criticizing the officials afterward, according to the Tennessean.
Our View:Suggs said that the officials had too much power in the game, and questioned why they threw the flag on that hit. Usually, that will get some sort of fine from the NFL, but not in this case, for whatever reason.

Our View:He returned to practice with the Ravens, and is slated to play around 15 snaps in Saturday's preseason game against the Rams. He should be ready to go for Week 1 against Cincinnati.

Our View:Suggs has agreed to play this season at the $8.5 million tender and won't ask for any condition in the deal that will prevent the Ravens from franchising him next season. He is scheduled to be a free agent after the season. Suggs is to practice at the team facility next week and play about 15 snaps against the Rams in the third preseason game, putting him on pace to be ready for Week 1.
