Shaun McDonald didn't do much to help the Lions on Thursday. He only had four receptions for 44 yards and was responsible for one of the Lions' two turnovers as he lost a fumble.

Our View:McDonald has only one touchdown this season and doesn't have enough value to warrant a roster spot in most leagues, due to the Lions' abysmal offense.
November 2, 2008
Shaun McDonald contributed six receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-23 loss to Chicago.

Our View:McDonald has been productive as a starter following the departure of Roy Williams to Dallas, as McDonald registered 11 receptions for 133 yards and a score over his last two games. He is worth targeting in deeper leagues if available on the waiver wire.
October 19, 2008
Wideout Shaun McDonald will be the Detroit Lions' punt returner for the rest of the season, replacing Mike Furrey, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:McDonald will also be a starter at wideout for the Lions with Roy Williams gone. However, With Dan Orlovsky behind center for the team, Mcdonald's fantasy value is iffy, at best.
October 15, 2008
Shaun McDonald is expected to start opposite rising star Calvin Johnson following the departure of Roy Williams to Dallas, according to the Lions' official website.

Our View:McDonald's fantasy stock goes up, but his potential will depend on whether Dan Orlovsky or Drew Stanton provides some stability at quarterback. It remains to be seen if McDonald will be pulled off punt return duty following his promotion.
October 13, 2008
Adam Schefter of NFL.com indicates that the Lions are shopping receiver Shaun McDonald.

Our View:There has been minimal interest for McDonald so far, who is only averaging 6.7 yards on 11 receptions. The team featured him as a punt returner Sunday, in a likely attempt to improve his stock.
