July 25, 2008 Pittsburgh cornerback Ike Taylor has agreed to restructure his contract so the team had cap room to sign Rashard Mendenhall, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Our View:Taylor will still get the $4.1 million due to him this year, but instead of it coming in base salary, $3 million has been transferred to a signing bonus that allows the team to spread it out over three seasons.
November 10, 2006 Bill Cowher hasn't definitively decided yet if Ike Taylor will start Sunday against New Orleans, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Earlier in the week it looked all but imminent that Taylor, who's was torched by Javon Walker last week and hasn't played well lately, would lose his starting spot. "At this point, no concrete decision has been made," Cowher said Thursday.

"I've got to work my way up, plain and simple." Bryant McFadden is expected to replace Taylor in the starting lineup.
