Updating an earlier report, Gary Brackett will miss Week 17 due to a cracked fibula but is hopeful of returning for the playoffs, according to the Indianapolis Star. He is improving every day and stated, "I'm coming along, slowly but surely, I'm confident for the playoff game. I don't know what that's going to amount to, but like I said, one day at a time. I'm getting better and that's all I can do."

Our View:Brackett is the defensive captain and the anchor at middle linebacker and this is favorable news regarding the Colts' postseason.
