Ben Roethlisberger came into Sunday night's game versus the Jaguars questionable to even play but he did play and he tore up the Jacksonville defense. Big Ben completed 26 passes for 309 yards and a score in the Steelers victory.
Our View:Roethlisberger was hit and beat up all night but continued to battle. With the Steelers trailing late in the fourth quarter, Big Ben was hit hard and aggravated his shoulder injury. Two plays later he throw the game-winning touchdown.

Our View:Big Ben didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday and was limited on Friday. Backup quarterback Byron leftwich took a lot of snaps in practice this week, but Roethlisberger wants to try to go and expects to play.

Our View:Byron Lefwitch will be around just in case Roethlisberger has a setback, but it appears that Big Ben is good to go for this weekend, though his matchup is less than ideal.

Our View:The number of sacks that Big Ben has been taking is definitely taking a toll on the quarterback. In four games he has been sacked 13 times. Even though he has spent a lot of time on the turf, Roethlisberger has thrown four touchdowns and only two interceptions.

Ben Roethlisberger did just enough to win in Pittsburgh on Monday as the Steelers beat the Ravens 23-20. The quarterback was 14-for-24 for 191 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
Our View:Roethlisberger continues to hold onto the pigskin for too long and tonight it cost him three more sacks. He has to make quicker reads going forward if he wants to take the next step as a top NFL quarterback.

The AP reports that Ben Roethlisberger was sacked nine times by the Eagles on Sunday, once for a safety. The Philly defense also forced an interception while keeping Big Ben out of the end zone. Roethlisberger left the game late in the fourth quarter with an undisclosed injury.
Our View:Roethlisberger's shoulder has been giving him fits this season but it's not certain if that was the injury which eventually forced him to leave the game. The Pittsburgh quarterback is as tough as any of them but he took an uncanny beating on Sunday. We'll update you as more news becomes available.

"It didn't come from me or my medical staff. If anybody in here has got any information about where that report came from, send them to me." Tomlin said Roethlisberger sprained his AC joint, an injury to the ligaments that attach the collarbone to the shoulder blade.

I can help the other guys.' "

Our View:Hines Ward cannot be pleased with the addition of Sweed, but he is big (6-4 212) and fast (ran 40 in 4.55) and will provide Roethlisberger with the big receiver he has been asking for. Big Ben broke out with 3154 passing yards and 32 touchdowns in 2007, and he still has room to improve on those numbers. Sweed should make an impact as a fantasy rookie as well, and will be a good prospect to target in keeper leagues.

The team believes the second round will be deep with talent. Colbert says the Steelers would consider anything but a quarterback or a tight end with the No. 23 pick.
Our View:The Steelers may be looking to do what the Eagles did in 2007, when Andy Reid dealt the 26th pick for a choices in the second (36), third (87), and fifth (159) rounds. Or maybe the Steelers are just blowing smoke screens and actually want to trade up for an offensive or defensive lineman.
