The St. Louis Rams have already interviewed Jim Haslett, and have received permission to interview New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, and are once again interested in Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, after it was thought they were not, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:The Rams are interviewing a myriad amount of candidates. It seems McDaniels and Spagnuolo are the two hottest candidates in the league.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams interviewed interim coach Jim Haslett on Monday in Los Angeles for the team's head coaching job.

Our View:Haslett was named a finalist before the team's coaching search began, and he coached the team for the final 12 games of the year, but needed to give him a formal interview anyway.

Reports that the St. Louis Rams are limited in their coaching search by finances are not true, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "We may be one of the few teams in the league that has not said money is a factor in the decision. Although I do think that some salaries are out of whack, if (GM Billy Devaney) thinks the best guy will cost $6 million a year that would be who we hire," said team owner Chip Rosenbloom.

Our View:It was thought that some assistants, such as Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, would be too costly for the Rams. It's more likely that candidates like Spagnuolo would not come to the team because it is not seen as a great job with the unstable ownership situation and poor personnel in place.

The St. Louis Rams have added another name to their coaching list, as the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports they have requested permission to interview Dolphins secondary coach Todd Bowles.

Our View:The paper reports that these are the team's head coaching candidates so far: Bowles, Dallas wide receivers coach Ray Sherman, Green Bay assistant head coach/linebackers coach Winston Moss, Minnesota assistant head coach/defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, Baltimore assistant head coach-defensive coordinator Rex Ryan, former New York Giants coach Jim Fassel, Tennessee defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, and have spoken with the agents for both Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and Dallas assistant head coach/offensive coordinator Jason Garrett.

The Rams are interested in having a discussion with the Cowboys WR Coach Ray Sherman to see if he might be a good fit for their head coaching vacancy, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Our View:Whether or not the Cowboys will grant the request is unknown, especially since Sherman is held in such high regard in Dallas.
