January 3, 2009 Green Bay receiver Greg Jennings will use the $42 million free-agent contract given to Bernard Berrian by the Vikings as a barometer of the deal he would like, according to Pro Football Weekly.
Our View:Jennnings will be in the final year of his contract next season, and he would like a new one. It's fair to say he's been a better performer than Berrian, so the using his deal as a model seems more than fair.
December 29, 2008 Greg Jennings is entering the final year of his second-round rookie contract in 2009 and stated he is 99.9 percent sure he won't hold out, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He does not intend to be a distraction while seeking a new deal and said, "They shouldn't worry about that. I'm here to play football, the business will take care of itself. If it comes down to it, I'm not a type that wants to hold out. Now, if that comes to happening, I'm not going to sit here and say I won't do it but I'm about 99.9 percent sure that I won't be doing any of that. That's just not me. But, again, you never know what happens but I don't see it happening at all."
Our View:Jennings is set to made $530,000 next season, which is a great bargain as he hauled in 80 receptions for 1,292 yards and nine touchdowns in 2008.

Our View:Jennings finished the season with career-high numbers in receptions (80) and yards (1,292). The Western Michigan product also scored in five of the last seven games, finishing the campaign with nine touchdowns.
