Miami Dolphins tight end Anthony Fasano is having a breakout year, and that may continue on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers and their 32nd ranked pass defense, which has seen tight ends have big games against them, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Our View:Against the Chargers this season, Panthers tight end Dante Rosario had seven catches for 96 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers Week 1; Broncos tight end Tony Scheffler had six catches for 64 yards and two scores Week 2; Jets tight ends Dustin Keller and Chris Baker combined for seven catches, 71 yards and one touchdown Week 3; and Raiders tight end Zach Miller had five catches for 95 yards and one touchdown last week. Translation: Fasano makes a very good start for fantasy owners this week.

Tight end Anthony Fasano caught three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in the Week 3 win over the Patriots.

Our View:Fasano had a big opener, did nothing last week, and now had another quality outing. The Dolphins are featuring their tight ends (David Martin, too) a lot early in the season, and Fasano is looking like a decent No. 2 option.
August 23, 2008
Anthony Fasano led the Dolphins receiving corps with three catches for 30 yards and a touchdown Saturday.

Our View:Fasano is clearly ahead of David Martin on the depth chart at tight end but shouldn't be relied on as a starter.

Tight end Anthony Fasano is leading the battle to become the starter at that position as he has excelled during training camp, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Our View:David Martin caught 34 balls for the Dolphins at tight end last season, but Fasano is threatening to take his job. He could be a sleeper at the position, as he possesses solid athleticism and hands.

With pressing issues along the offensive line, especially at guard, sources in Miami suggest the team is going to rely on twin-TE alignments, according to Pro Football Weekly. In fact, PFW reports two tight ends might end up being the default offensive formation, and they will be used primarily as blockers to help mask those shortcomings on the offensive line.

Our View:This is a major bit of news for fantasy owners who were pondering the value of both David Martin and Anthony Fasano. It appears the Fins will be ill equipped to use them as primary targets, a major consideration for those who might have been viewing these candidates as potential sleepers.
