ESPN's Mike Ditka reported this morning that the decision to bench quarterback Tarvaris Jackson came from above head coach Brad Childress.

Our View:Sounds like Vikings owner Zygmunt Wilf is emulating Al Davis, which cannot be construed as a good thing.

It seems that demoted quarterback Tarvaris Jackson and new starter Gus Frerotte do not speak to each other, according to the St. Paul Pioneer-Press. "Nobody got to explain nothing to me. Nobody got to say anything to me," Jackson said.

Our View:The relationship between the two is not said to be icy, but it does seem odd that they don't speak at all, simply considering how close in proximity they must be to each other all day.

Tarvaris Jackson has been demoted to second string after two straight poor performances to start the season, according to ESPN. Veteran Gus Frerotte will take over the starting gig.

Our View:Coach Brad Childress recently backed Jackson, but he apparently had a quick change of heart.

Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has the second-worst passer rating in the NFL inside the red zone, with a mark of 39.6, according to the St. Paul Pioneer-Press.

Our View:This is reason number 1,214 why Jackson has no business on fantasy squads. The Vikings are considering going to Gus Frerotte if Jackson continues to struggle, though that isn't necessarily an upgrade.

Head coach Brad Childress is sticking with quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, but he will continue to evaluate the situation. "I'm always looking at what's giving us the best opportunity to win," Childress tells the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "If it's Tarvaris, it's Tarvaris. If it's Gus Frerotte, it's Gus Frerotte. J.D. Booty, it's J.D. Booty... We're chewing on a bunch of things right now and making sure he's the best guy for us to go forward."

Our View:Vikings fans are seemingly ready to be done with Jackson, although we're not sure Gus Frerotte has any answers. The club is based on a dominant rushing attack and a strong defense. Whether it's Jackson or Frerotte or Booty, we have very low fantasy expectations for this passing attack.
