Our View:The team has been pleased with Tyler Thigpen and are content with Quinn Gray as his primary backup, making Martin expendable to add much needed depth to the secondary.
September 9, 2008 The Chiefs have plucked quarterback Ingle Martin off of the Titans practice squad, the Tennessean reports. "It is kind of bitter sweet," Martin says. "It is unfortunate it didn’t work out here because I loved it in Nashville and loved my teammates and coaches."
Our View:Given Vince Young's injury, it would have made sense for the Titans to promote Martin this week. Did the Chiefs somehow beat them to the punch? Anyway, Martin will likely be the No. 3 quarterback as long as Brodie Croyle is dealing with his shoulder injury.
