Newsbreakers
October 13, 2008
Daniel Bullocks led the Lions with 10 tackles in Sunday's loss to Minnesota, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Our View:Bullocks hit running back Adrian Peterson so hard about a minute into the game that Peterson flipped into the air. He forced Peterson to fumble at the Detroit 7 later in the first quarter, and safety Dwight Smith recovered the ball at the 1. Bullocks now has 33 tackles (26 solo) and two forced fumbles for the season, and is worth starting in IDP leagues.

The Lions are going to shuffle their lineup in Week 2 following their disappointing effort against Atlanta, and Daniel Bullocks is expected to start ahead of Gerald Alexander at free safety, according to MLive.com.

Our View:Bullocks is capable of solid production and is worth a look in IDP leagues as a backup, assuming he does replace Alexander.

Daniel Bullocks has been cleared to play in the Lions' final preseason game tonight against Buffalo, according to MLive.com. He missed all of last season after suffering a major knee injury (torn ACL).

Our View:It remains to be seen exactly how much action he sees tonight, but this is encouraging news regarding his availability for Week 1. If he proves to be healthy, he could make a solid impact as the Lions' potential starter at strong safety, and is worthy of a late-round pick in IDP leagues.

Daniel Bullocks has returned to practice, according to MLive.com. He has been recovering from ACL surgery.

Our View:Bullocks has time to get ready for Week 1. If he proves to be healthy, he could make a solid impact as the Lions' potential starter at strong safety, and is worthy of a late-round pick in IDP leagues.
July 24, 2008
Daniel Bullocks is still not ready to go nearly a year after surgery to repair his ACL. He will begin training camp on the PUP list.

Our View:This is a bit concerning given the amount of time he has had to recover. We expect him ready by Week 1 but no guarantees.
