Our View:It was thought that Lawson would suit up after practicing this week, but his injured hamstring is apparently not ready to go.
October 17, 2008 Manny Lawson emerged from a week of practice without a setback with his injured hamstring and as a result he is ready to face the Giants in Week 7, according to The Mercury News. "I have no questions about my hamstring holding up," he said.
Our View:Lawson doesn't have any fantasy value to IDPers, but his presence should add a little extra to a defensive squad that will be tested in a tough matchup with the Giants.

October 7, 2008 49ers linebacker Manny Lawson's hamstring is healing, and he believes he is at 80 percent and hoping to play this week, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Our View:Lawson did not play Week 5 due to the malady. He has not lived up to his first-round draft status as a pass rusher, accumulating just 2.5 sacks in his three-year career, and two of those came in Week 2 of his rookie year. However, he is still just 24 years old and has a chance to turn it around.
October 1, 2008 Manny Lawson has already been ruled out for Week 5 due to his hamstring strain, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.
Our View:Tully Banta-Cain could see action this week with Lawson out. Lawson has been limited so far this season, and only registered eight tackles (seven assists).
