September 10, 2008 On Wednesday Ruvell Martin surprised the Green Bay media when he showed up at practice with a cast on his right hand. Martin said he suffered the injury in Denver on August 22 but hid the injury from the media until today. During the Packers Monday night game verse the Vikings, Martin aggravated the injury, according to Scout.com.
Our View:Since James Jones was injured, Martin just fought threw his injury. Now that Jones is set to return, the Packers and Martin can take their time with his finger.
August 14, 2008 Ruvell Martin sustained a concussion on Monday when Marvin White knocked him out of action during the Packers' preseason battle with Cincinnati, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Martin called it the best shot he has ever taken, and added, "I got blasted in my jaw and was out."
Our View:Martin said he feels OK, but coach Mike McCarthy all but ruled him out for the Packers' next preseason game on Saturday.
