Buffalo free safety Ko Simpson has not been playing well for the team, but there is no suitable backup, so the Bills are hoping he improves, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Next on the depth chart is George Wilson, but apparently the team is not enamored with him, either. Simpson has 20 tackles on the season.

Free safety Ko Simpson exited the game against Arizona in the first half with a hamstring injury.

Our View:Simpson, who posted one tackle before departing the game, was replaced by George Wilson and will not return to action.

Ko Simpson returned to practice after his MRI on his ankle only showed a bone bruise, according to the Rochester Democrat.

Our View:If healthy, Simpson projects to be the Bills' starting free safety, which would make him a favorable late-round fantasy prospect in IDP leagues.

Ko Simpson had an MRI to check on his left ankle, which he previously had had surgery on, according to BuffaloBills.com. "It was so we could put his mind at ease and our own about it," according to Bills head coach Dick Jauron.

Our View:Though Jauron said it was not official, he did not believe that the MRI showed anything wrong. Simpson is going to be an important part of the Bills defense this year, so it would behoove the team to sure he is healthy.

More than a few worries were raised in Buffalo today as young defensive backfielder Ko Simpson appears to have tweaked his surgically-repaired ankle, leading the Bills to pull him from workouts until further notice, according to BuffaloBills.com.

Our View:Simpson is a key factor to a defense built largely on youth, and not having him on the field was a tremendous detriment last season. The Bills are going to go out of their way to insure he is there for Week 1 of the regular season, so do not be alarmed if he fails to take part in practice for most of training camp.
