Rob Sims underwent surgery to repair a torn left pectoral muscle, according to the Seattle Times.

Our View:Rehab from the procedure is estimated at four to six months, according to the team physician. He was a starter, but was merely adequate, and Floyd Womack won't be a significant downgrade while filling in at right guard.

Seahawks guard Rob Sims has been placed on the IR with a torn pectoral muscle, ending his season, according to the Seattle Times.

Our View:Sims was the team's starting right guard, so Floyd Womack will pick up those duties. Seattle keeps getting hammered with injuries on offense, which has to be disconcerting for fantasy owners.

Rob Sims has resumed practicing with the Seahawks, according to the News Tribune. He practiced for the first time since undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Our View:He is reportedly bigger, and could be the strongest player on the team. He had the surgery in early May, and is recovering at a favorable rate.

Seattle OG Rob Sims has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right knee today and is expected to miss up to six weeks of practice as a result, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Sims is entering his third season with the Seahawks, having starting all 16 regular-season games for Seattle at right guard in '07. The former fourth-round pick is one of seven Seattle starters missing this week's minicamp due to surgery, a list that includes DE Patrick Kerney, LT Walter Jones, WR Deion Branch, and OC Chris Spencer.
