Our View:Like most people, the San Francisco coaching staff saw lots of potential in the former Bengal. But as has been the case with Brooks for his career, it has never really translated to the field.
September 25, 2008 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks was taking practice reps at the "Ted" inside linebacker spot, which is where Takeo Spikes and Ted Ulbrich play, instead of his usual position backing up Patrick Willis, according to the Sacramento Bee.
Our View:The paper speculates that the team is not thrilled with the play of either Spikes or Ulbrich, and that Brooks may edge his way into some playing time.
