Updating an earlier report, Sidney Rice fully practiced Friday and is probable for Sunday's game against the Texans, according to the Star Tribune. He had been dealing with a knee ailment.

Our View:This is encouraging news for the Vikings, but he has only caught three passes over four games played this season, and should not be considered for fantasy lineups against an under-rated Texans' pass defense.

This was supposed to be the breakout season for Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice, but a knee injury and an illness has hampered him to only three receptions in four games. Rice told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he is 100% healed and ready to return.

Our View:Rice spent the bye week in Minnesota to rehab his knee and in a workout on Monday onlookers said he was very active.

Vikings receiver Sidney Rice has been working out before the team's game today, and it looks as if he will play, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:Rice sprained the PCL in his right knee, but he nearly played last week and it looks good for today.

The Star Tribune reports that Sidney Rice said Friday he “definitely” will play on Sunday after missing three of the past four games because of sprained PCL in his right knee. “I was close [the last few weeks] but it was coach’s decision, him deciding on what he really needed out there,” Rice said. “He needed a couple extra special-teams players. That was fine with me. I know I wasn’t 100 percent. Anything to help the team. I wasn’t upset or anything.”

Our View:Hopefully Rice used the down time to study the playbook. He has just three catches for 37 yards through three games this season.
