Our View:It looks like the Raiders may try and use Russell like the Steelers used Ben Roethlisberger earlier in his career, limiting his throws and therefore, limiting his chances to make mistakes.

Our View:He is expected to start at quarterback in a favorable match-up against the Broncos' 29th ranked pass defense, but may not be able to take advantage as he holds a poor 70.8 efficiency rating and 50.4 completion percentage.
November 16, 2008 A Raiders' team source tells ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen that Jim Fassel recently sent a handwritten letter to Oakland owner Al Davis, expressing his respect and admiration for Davis and his desire to coach the embattled franchise.
Our View:Fassel last worked in the league as offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens from 2003 until his dismissal midway through the 2006 season. He was also the head coach of the New York Giants from 1997 until the team fired him after the 2003 season.
