Our View:Madieu Williams and Jared Allen are both active, which is good news for the Vikings defense. Those were the only two guys on the injury list.

Our View:Williams is expected to be back in Week 4. He's coming back from a neck injury. Hicks is dealing with a foot ailment.
August 29, 2008 John David Booty was 8-for-15 for 93 yards and an interception, and Brooks Bollinger was 6-for-18 for 62 yards in the Vikings preseason finale, and neither impressed head coach Brad Childress, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "They were both average. Average is about the worst thing you can say about somebody. Average," he said.
Our View:In this case, I think Childress means "average" as in "bad." The players were in competition to be the third quarterback, but obviously, neither came away as the favorite.
August 27, 2008 John David Booty and Brooks Bollinger will each play a half at quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings in their final preseason game, as they battle for the No. 3 job on the squad, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Our View:Neither will hold fantasy value as the No. 3 quarterback, and it would seem Booty would be the leading candidate to win the job because the team spent a fifth-round selection on him.
August 25, 2008 Rookie fifth-rounder John David Booty (USC) is battling Brooks Bollinger for the No. 3 spot at quarterback on the Vikings' roster, according to the Star Tribune.
Our View:Tarvaris Jackson will start with Gus Frerotte tabbed as the primary backup. Neither Booty nor Bollinger will hold any fantasy value while holding the clipboard this season. Booty does have the inside track for the role.
