Antonio Pittman had a nice performance Sunday filling in for Steven Jackson, as he rushed 14 times for 95 yards while adding three catches for four yards.

Our View:Coach Jim Haslett said he wanted a 100-yard game from Pittman, and he almost got it. With Jackson's quad ailment proving to be worse than expected, Pittman could have some value in the coming weeks.

Antonio Pittman is only averaging 3.0 yards per carry and the Rams expect more from him as he replaces Steven Jackson (strained thigh) in the starting lineup this weekend against the 49ers, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Coach Jim Haslett said, "I've already told him that he needs to run his butt of this week and prove that he deserves this opportunity. He can't rush 13 attempts for 28 yards. He needs to break through and get a hundred-yard game and show that he's a back that can play in the league for a long time."

Our View:Pittman is worth fantasy consideration, namely as a flex option, against the 49ers' 16th ranked run defense that has surrendered 10 scores on the ground.

Antonio Pittman will start at running back for the Rams this weekend as Steven Jackson will not make the trip to San Francisco due to his strained thigh, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Pittman is worth consideration against the 49ers' 16th ranked run defense that has surrendered 10 scores on the ground.

Antonio Pittman has recovered sufficiently from his hamstring injury to earn the start today against the New York Jets, according to St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Our View:Pittman has a sketchy match-up against the Jets' run defense, which ranks 4th in the league (76.1 yards per game), allowing only 3.1 yards per carry. Kenneth Darby will be the backup, while Samkon Gado could also see a handful of carries.

Antonio Pittman did some running on the side of Rams practice on Thursday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:The Rams running back situation is about as unpredictable as Al Davis' mood swings. Don't expect to get many points out of the St. Louis backfield in Week 10. With many backs going down this week, options such as BenJarvus Green-Ellis or Ryan Torain could do you some good if they're still available.
