Eagles inactives: QB A.J. Feeley (3rd), RB Lorenzo Booker, RB Kyle Eckel, LB Joe Mays, DE Bryan Smith, G Shawn Andrews, G Mike McGlynn, TE Matt Schobel.

Our View:Brian Westbrook (knee) is active but will likely share the load with Correll Buckhalter. On defense, free safety Brian Dawkins (groin) is active and will start.

Lorenzo Booker played through a hip pointer in the Eagles' exhibition finale but should play in week one.

The Philadelphia Inquirer projects Lorenzo Booker (formerly of the Dolphins) to be the Eagles' No. 3 running back this season. If so, he will work behind starter Brian Westbrook and primary backup Correll Buckhalter.

Our View:The Inquirer also believes Ryan Moats will be cut loose. Going by Buckhalter's poor track record with durability, and Booker's skills as a receiver, Booker is the preferred "handcuff" for Brian Westbrook.

SI.com says to look for Lorenzo Booker to beat out Correll Buckhalter for the backup running back job in Philadelphia. Peter King notes that he could become the kind of trusted change-of-pace back that could give Westbrook a blow for a series or two a game.

Our View:He just turned 24. He averaged 4.5 yards per rush, and caught 28 balls in only five games of part-time play in Miami last year. If you decide to handcuff Westbrook with a late pick, count on Booker being the guy.

Lorenzo Booker is currently the number one kick returner for the Philadelphia Eagles, according to PhiladelphiaEagles.com.

Our View:It's still early, so this may change, but Booker is explosive and could excel in the role.
