September 1, 2008 Coach Jeff Fisher commented that he likes second-year receiver Paul Williams' potential, according to the Tennessean. He flashed enough of that potential in training camp and the preseason to nail down a spot on the 53-man roster, and Fisher stated, "He's got the height, the weight, the speed, he can catch, he's got a lot ahead of him. He's closing the gap and he's done some nice things for us on special teams."
Our View:It sounds like Williams could gradually earn more playing time at receiver as the season progresses, and could potentially challenge for a favorable role in 2009, making him worth a look as a flier in larger keeper leagues.
May 24, 2008 WR Paul Williams was drafted last season and didn't see any game action, yet he has been impressive so far with the Titans, according to the Tennessean. "Last year I kind of got humbled a little bit. I thought I was better than I really was and I didn't get on the field. This year I've got to swallow my pride and work hard like everybody else and hopefully shine."
Our View:The Titans are extremely thin at WR, and it would appear that Williams could have a shot to see some substantial playing time since he only has to battle the likes of Mike Williams, Justin McCareins and Lavelle Hawkins for playing time.
