Newsbreakers
November 12, 2008
Darius Walker was released from the Rams' practice squad to make room for safety David Roach, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Walker performed well at the end of the season for the Texans in 2007 (made two starts), but was yet to see any action in 2008.
November 4, 2008
Running back Darius Walker was signed to the St. Louis Rams practice squad, according to NFL.com.

Our View:Walker was released by the Texans in late October and will add depth to the Rams roster.
October 25, 2008
Darius Walker has been waived by the Texans, according to the Houston Chronicle. The team activated Ryan Moats from the practice squad as the adjoining move.

Our View:Walker was active for five of the six games this season but didn't get a carry while playing behind rookie Steve Slaton and Chris Taylor.
September 11, 2008
In a move most people expected, Darius Walker was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster, according to the Texans official website.

Our View:With starter Ahman Green's status uncertain, the Texans added some depth at running back with the promotion of Walker. Steve Slaton and Chris Taylor will receive most of the carries this week meaning Walker will have no fantasy value.
September 11, 2008
Darius Walker is expected to be promoted from the practice squad with Ahman Green not expected to play in Week 2 against Baltimore, according to the Houston Chronicle. Green has been dealing with severe swelling with his sprained ankle.

Our View:Walker would see some action, but rookie Steve Slaton is expected to start, with Chris Taylor serving as primary backup. Walker does not merit fantasy attention, especially against an imposing Baltimore defense that shut down the Bengals last weekend.
