With Santonio Holmes suspended (marijuana possession) for this weekend's game against the Giants, rookie Limas Sweed is slated to split time with Dallas Baker in the slot role as the No. 3 receiver, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View:Coach Mike Tomlin noted that he will go with the hot hand. Sweed has great size at 6-4 212 pounds, and could be productive with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger leading the charge.

The Pittsburgh Steelers still believe that second-round pick, receiver Limas Sweed, will be a big part of their future, even though he has yet to get in a game this year, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Sweed is a big wideout with good speed, but he simply hasn't shown enough in practice to make Pittsburgh comfortable utilizing him.

Limas Sweed may finally see some action on the field this week, in just the second game he'll be dressed for, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said Sweed needs to just do the simple things to succeed, telling the paper, "I wish he'd quit trying to score touchdowns on out cuts. Just drag the feet and get out of bounds. Those are the type of balls he's dropped."

Our View:Sweed dressed for the team's game with Jacksonville, but did not set foot on the field. A second-round pick this year, Sweed still has miles to go before fantasy owners need to know his name.

Limas Sweed could see his first action of the season against the Bengals this weekend, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The second-round pick dressed last week against Jacksonville but didn't play. "He's doing well," coach Mike Tomlin said. "He'll get an opportunity this week to be the No. 4 receiver. He just needs to have consistency in route running, catching the football and assignments. It's just that simple. He has improved and, really, he's been on the brink of deserving an opportunity. But the other guys playing in front of him have done a nice job. With this injury to Dallas Baker, it's a window of opportunity for him, one that he needs to take advantage of."

Our View:Obviously Sweed has to prove a lot before he can be trusted by fantasy owners, but he is at least worth tracking.

Only Rashard Mendenhall, after Week 4, will have been the only Steelers draft pick to have dressed every game this season and contributed, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Second-round pick, wideout Limas Sweed; third-round pick, linebacker Buster Davis; and fourth-round pick Tony Hills and not dressed for even a single game this year.

Our View:Obviously, there is plenty of time for these players to become productive, but you would expect them to make some sort of contribution, especially on special teams.
