June 5, 2008 Marvin White is expected to be the Bengals' starting free safety this season, according to the Dayton Daily News. He would replace Madieu Williams, who departed to Minnesota.
Our View:White became a starter late last season as a rookie, and made a solid impact, namely as a fearless and devastating hitter. He also displays good speed, range, and ball skills, but just needs to improve his recognition skills. He could establish himself as an enforcer this season, and could emerge as a solid IDP sleeper for 2008.
