Our View:The third-year defensive tackle started two games for San Diego in 2007, but was released by the team last Saturday. He was added for depth with Kelly Gregg and Dwan Edwards both placed on the IR.

March 27, 2008 The San Diego Chargers have re-signed exclusive rights free agent defensive end Brandon McKinney to an undisclosed contract, according to NFL.com. McKinney, who played in 14 games last season, starting two, compiled 21 tackles (14 solos).
