Head coach Mike Holmgren has confirmed that wide receiver Logan Payne will miss the rest of the season. Payne tore the MCL in his right knee on Sunday and will be placed on injured reserve, the Seattle Times confirms.

Our View:That's not necessarily a season-ending injury, but the Seahawks can't afford to wait on Payne. His dim star faded as quickly as it rose.

Remarkably, the Seattle Seahawks lost another receiver to injury. This time, it was Logan Payne, who tore a ligament in his knee and is likely out for the year, according to the Tacoma News-Tribune.

Our View:It's difficult to believe how many recievers Seattle is losing. It is reminiscent of the way their NFC West counterparts, the Rams, lost all of their offensive lineman last season. The team said they will have to sign some more wideouts sometime on Monday to make up for the loss.

Logan Payne left Sunday's game against the 49ers with a knee injury.

Our View:The hits just keep on coming for Seattle's receiving corps. The injury did not look good. We'll update you when we get more info.

Logan Payne will start this week at receiver for the Seahwks according to the Seattle Times. He will likely line up at split end and his speed makes him a big play threat.

Our View:Payne is likely available on your waiver wire and if you are not expecting much from your WR3 this weekend, he is a wild card pick up. No one can really predict what he will do, but quarterback Matt Hasselback will attempt 20-30 passes at least and Payne should see his share of targets. Starters Bobby Engram and Deion Branch are both targeting Week 5 returns so Payne's long term value is not strong.

Reports from Seattle indicate concerns are starting to grown about the receiving corps this team is attempting to formulate in training camp, according to the Tacoma News-Tribune. Both Nate Burleson and Bobby Engram are inked into starting spots while Deion Branch remains lost to injury, but after that, there is nothing left but questions. Training camp reports indicate Logan Payne and Corutney Taylor appear to be earning the spot action that will come in relief of those top targets.

Our View:Payne is very intriguing, a talented force with underrated speed and soft hands. The Seahawks believe they can mentor him into becoming a starting commodity, but that will take time. If one of those starters fails to avoid injury (namely Branch who can't seem to stay away from injury since leaving New England), this unit could be in trouble.
