Our View:McKelvin had five tackles in Week 5 and a fumble recovery the week before that. The rookie will be tested this week at home against the Chargers.

According to Pro Football Weekly, the Bills will likely employ more deep zone coverages with rookie corner Leodis McKelvin starting in place of Terrence McGee on Sunday.

Our View:This is certainly good news for Kurt Warner, Larry Fitzgerald and company.

Buffalo first-round pick, cornerback Leodis McKelvin, will split time at the position with Ashton Youboty during the team's upcoming contest against the Cardinals, according to the Buffalo Democrat and Chronicle.

Our View:McKelvin has not seen much of the field this season, but the Bills are likely to use him against the Cards' passing attack because starting corner Terrence McGee probably will not be able to play due to injury.
September 21, 2008
It is possible that Bills rookie corner Leodis McKelvin will take over the kick return duties on a full-time basis, supplanting Roscoe Parrish, according to Sporting News Today.

Our View:McKelvin was one of the best returners in college football in recent memory coming out of Troy, and because he is not getting on the field much on defense, the team wants to utilize his skills in other ways.

Leodis McKelvin has been unable to pass Jabari Greer on the Bills' depth chart at cornerback, and remains relegated to the nickelback spot, according to the Buffalo News. Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell said, "If you look at Leodis’ two games, he’s had two mistakes in two games. He did not contain the screen against Washington and let in a touchdown. In the Pittsburgh game, Hines Ward ran what we call a ‘Bang Eight,’ or a skinny post on him, and he turned the wrong way."

Our View:He has a shot to emerge as a starter at some point this season, but will be brought along slowly heading into Week 1. He could hold more fantasy value as a return man, as he already returned a kick for a touchdown in the preseason.
