Rookie Chris Long racked up two sacks in Sunday's loss to New England, doubling his season total, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:That was his best performance of the season, and could stay hot this weekend against the Cardinals. He is worth targeting if you need help in IDP leagues.

Rams defensive end Chris Long, the second overall pick in the draft, recorded the first sack of his career in the Giants 41-13 beatdown of St. Louis.

Our View:There were very few positives to come out of this game for the Rams, but we suppose this is one. The team's D/ST unit obviously remains one to stay as far away from as possible in fantasy leagues.

Chris Long will replace the injured Leonard Little at left defensive end Sunday, while James Hall will take over Long's spot at right end, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "It's a totally different game; there's a lot that goes into your technique and your mannerisms," Long said. "But I'll just try to stick to the principles I've learned so far, and hopefully it won't be an adjustment. You just get a couple of reps in practice and you go with it."

Our View:Long isn't expected to spend the entire afternoon on the left side, as the Rams will rotate players in and out, giving Long a chance to slide back over to his natural spot on the right side.

Chris Long will start at right defensive end in his regular season debut Sunday against the Eagles, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He said, "I'm pretty even-keeled. I'll be excited when it's time to be excited, but right now it's just time to work and study my stuff and relax and rest up." Coach Scott Linehan added that the top rookie is coming off his best week of practice with the club.

Our View:He will be battling a rock solid Eagles' offensive line, with a quarterback that knows how to escape pressure (Donovan McNabb). His impact in his debut looks to be minimal.

Rookie defensive end Chris Long, the second overall pick in the draft, is not having too much success in individual team drills as he battles Orlando Pace, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:This is nothing to worry about so early in camp. In fact, it's probably good news for the Rams because they need a healthy Pace manning the left tackle spot. Long certainly isn't the first and won't be the last defensive end to struggle getting past the future Hall of Fame tackle.
