July 11, 2008 The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a four-year contract with rookie linebacker Stanford Keglar, according to ESPN. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Our View:The fourth-round pick from Purdue University started 13 games and finished with 70 tackles last season. Keglar is penciled in as the backup to Keith Bulluck on the weak side.
March 26, 2008 The New England Patriots recently worked out Purdue linebacker Stanford Keglar, according to USA Today. Keglar, 6-2 and 239 pounds, has been moving up draft boards since the NFL Combine when he tested well with the most bench-press repetitions (29), top broad jump (10 feet, 6 inches), top 3-cone drill (6.70) and the fourth-best 40-yard dash time (4.58) for linebackers. Keglar is a riser and a name to keep an eye on given the Patriots’ propensity for plucking gems in the NFL draft.
