Second-round rookie Quentin Groves recorded his first career sack and forced fumble in Sunday's loss to the Bills, according to the Jaguars' official website. He also registered three solo tackles.

Our View:Groves should have a handful of solid outings this season, like he did in Week 2, but won't be consistent enough to consider for fantasy lineups.

Second-round rookie Quentin Groves started in place of the injured Reggie Hayward (sore hamstring) against the Dolphins, but failed to make an impact, according to the Florida Times-Union. He didn't register any tackles and was unable to pressure quarterback Chad Pennington. Groves was consistently blocked by five-year veteran Vernon Casey.

Our View:This is disappointing as Groves was drafted to improve the Jaguars' pass rush. Fellow rookie defensive end Derrick Harvey remains a holdout as well.

Jacksonville's second-round selection, Quentin Groves, has been playing great in training camp, making the late arrival of first-round pick Derrick Harvey a little easier to digest, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Groves will give the Jaguars another pass rush threat off the edge, but getting Harvey into camp will make that two rookies who can get after the quarterback.

The Jags have inked second-round pick Quentin Groves (Auburn) to a four-year deal worth $3.5 million, according to News4Jax.com.

Our View:Groves is an explosive athlete and excels at pressuring quarterbacks, and should contribute to the Jaguars pass rush as a rookie, giving him some fantasy value.
April 27, 2008
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Quentin Groves with the 52nd pick in the draft. The All-SEC first teamer experienced some off-field issues that stunted his draft stock, but few defensive end/outside linebacker prospects have as much raw speed, quickness, and power as Groves.

Our View:Groves is expected to be a work in progress, and while he might not be NFL-ready, he's close. The Jags drafted bookend lineman with their first two Saturday selections, and if the two can make an impact this fall, mission accomplished for the Jacksonville organization.
