Newsbreakers
October 13, 2008
Rams rookie wideout Keenan Burton is expected to be back for the team when they take on the Cowboys this week, according to the Belleville News-Democrat.

Our View:Burton had been out after knee surgery. His return is a positive thing for the team, as they need all the speed they can get at receiver. Don't expect him to make much of a fantasy impact immediately, however.

Rams rookie wide receiver Keenan Burton returned to practice after missing the last four games due to knee surgery, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Burton, a fourth-round selection, likely won't be back this week, but could make his return to the team Week 7. He played well in the preseason, but still is not worthy of a spot on fantasy rosters at the moment.

Rams rookie wide receiver Keenan Burton is on the mend after undergoing knee surgery and could be back by the team's Week 6 contest against the Redskins, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Burton's ability to make plays and add speed to the team will be a welcome addition to the team's struggling offense. He likely won't be worthy of a spot on fantasy rosters, but should still make contributions to the team.

Rookie wide receiver Keenan Burton underwent knee surgery Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus cartilage. The fourth-round draft pick from Kentucky will be sidelined until a week after the Oct. 5 bye week, according to head coach Scott Linehan.

Our View:Burton suffered the injury in Week 1 and had to have the knee drained. The rookie did not play much in Week 2. Dane Looker will likely see more snaps as a result.

Wide receiver Keenan Burton will undergo an MRI to see if he has torn cartilage in his knee. "He does have what we think is a torn meniscus," head coach Scott Linehan informs the Belleville News-Democrat. Burton suffered the injury in Week 1 and had to have the knee drained. The rookie did not play much in Week 2.

Our View:Surgery would sideline the rookie for a few weeks. With Drew Bennett also out, the Rams are looking thin at receiver and may find more time for Dane Looker and Donnie Avery.
