November 22, 2008 The Rocky Mountain News reports that the Broncos signed safety Josh Barrett to their active roster from their practice squad on Saturday. Barrett played in all four preseason games but hasn't played during the regular season.
Our View:The safety is simply depth in the secondary for the roster.
July 9, 2008 Seventh-round pick Josh Barrett (Arizona State) has signed a four-year deal with Denver worth $1.76 million, according to the Rocky Mountain News.
Our View:Barrett is big (6-2 225) and physical and has a solid rep as a playmaker, but needs work in attacking the line of scrimmage in order to challenge for a solid role with the team.
