Packers third-round pick, tight end Jermichael Finley, has a chance to be activated for the team's Week 3 game against Dallas, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

Our View:Tight end Tory Humphrey is hurting, opening up a chance for Finley, who has not been active for either of the Packers first two games. Drafted for his playmaking ability, Finley will have a chance to put that on display, but should not be used for fantasy purposes.

Packers third-round draft pick Jermichael Finley is healthy, but is inactive for Monday night's game, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Also inactive are center Scott Wells, wide receiver James Jones, guard Josh Sitton, safety Charlie Peprah, cornerback Pat Lee, tight end Jermichael Finley and defensive end Jeremy Thompson.

Our View:Finley had been struggling in training camp, so this is not a complete shock, but it's not a great sign that he isn't even in uniform for his first NFL game.

Packers third-round pick Jermichael Finley has been struggling so far in the preseason, according to Pro Football Weekly. The rookie tight end has been struggling so much that the team may have to acquire a tight end when cuts are made in order to ensure depth at the position.

Our View:There was a small amount of hope that Finely, with his athleticism, could make an impact at tight end in fantasy leagues, but that clearly isn't happening anytime soon.

Green Bay has signed their third-round pick, tight end Jermichael Finley, according to the Madison Capital Times.

Our View:Finley may eventually turn into a player fantasy owners will pay attention to, but that time is not now.

Rookie tight end Jermichael Finley (Texas) is going to be worked in slowly by the Packers, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

Our View:Finley has strong hands and receiving skills and could develop into a starter, but needs a lot of work on his blocking. Finley could serve as the number three tight end this season behind starter Donald Lee and backup Tory Humphrey, meaning he will hold little to no fantasy value as a rookie.
