August 22, 2008 Rookie cornerback Jonathan Wilhite returned to practice this week after dealing with a right hamstring injury, and could make his preseason debut tonight against the Eagles, according to the Boston Globe. His goal is to play in a preseason game prior to the regular season. Wilhite said he didn't think the injury has left him too far behind in the cornerback race and he said, "I was in all the meetings. I watched practice film with them, so I don't think I really got behind. It's good to go out there and get some physical reps and just get out there and practice. I think I'm ready to work back into it now."
Our View:Wilhite is a tough kid with good instincts and has a shot to develop into a good starter for New England. But his fantasy value looks to be limited while learning the ropes in a backup role as a rookie.

Wilhite possesses solid instincts and toughness and was a solid pick for the fourth round.
