Rookie Spencer Larsen became the first player in Denver history to start on both sides of the ball, taking the field in the starting lineup at both fullback and middle linebacker, according to NFL.com. Making it even more impressive is that he did it in his first NFL start.

Our View:Larsen is the first NFL player to start on offense and defense since Dec. 14, 2003, when Baltimore’s Orlando Brown started at offensive tackle and defensive tackle at Oakland. It has been done on four occasions since 1990.
July 9, 2008
Sixth-round linebacker Spencer Larsen (Arizona) has signed with the Broncos, according to the Denver Post. He received a $97,500 signing bonus.

Our View:Larsen is a high energy player, and a strong sideline-to-sideline tackler. He will work as a backup as a rookie, but could start down the road in his career.
