October 20, 2008 Trevor Scott played a key role in Sunday's upset win over the Jets as he contributed two sacks, according to the SF Chronicle. He said, "If you told me about 10 to 15 years ago that I would be sacking Brett Favre, I would have told you you're full of crap. All week, I was thinking, 'I've got to get to Favre. How cool would that be if my first sack in the NFL is against Favre? I kept attacking, kept attacking and finally got to Brett."
Our View:Defensive end Derrick Burgess missed a second straight game with a strained triceps. Jay Richardson started at left end but didn't stay in the game on passing downs, which is where Scott came in. The rookie sixth-rounder out of Buffalo has made a blip on the fantasy radar following Sunday's performance, and could be worth a look as a flier in deeper leagues.
